CTIA 2010: Twitter’s Biz Stone, James Cameron, Aneesh Chopra

Avatar – the biggest selling movie of all time – has already influenced a number of things in our lives, such as the expansion of 3-D TV. But would you ever imagine having Twitter 3D? Well this could be something to look for in the near future.

James Cameron was part of a panel at CTIA 2010, and was joined by Twitter’s Biz Stone and U.S. chief technology officer, Aneesh Chopra. A number of things were discussed – one of them was how we will use the micro-blogging website in the future once 3-D smartphone’s and laptops make their way onto the market.

According to an article on PC World, the idea of Twitter 3-D was said jokingly by Stone – but the technology news website reckons that he is not far off. James Cameron added that if 3D were made available for smartphones and laptops, then the smaller screens would do away with the need for 3-D glasses. That is a good thing – do not like the idea of sitting in Starbucks with a pair of uncool glasses on.

Do you think that twitter 3-D is a good idea?
