Social media is growing at a much faster rate than we ever imaged and as a result, businesses have to learn the ins-and-outs to make it a part of their B2B marketing campaigns. The best way to achieve this is by visiting the MarketingProfs B2B Forum – although Mashable thought that they would offer some insight from a number of experts in this field.
Mashable begins by stating the obvious, that Social media marketing is often much simpler for the B2C crowd – but B2B is totally different and has to be treated as such. Businesses are not like consumers who are impulsive – they are not as social and think harder before they commit.

Jason Falls from Social Media Explorer has a great point when he says that “B2B is more P2P – people to people”, this means that buyers would rather purchase something from someone they trust – not a big branded company.
This is certainly true; businesses will now need to become more socially active with their customers if they ever hope to compete with the many other companies already implementing this new way of thinking.
Visit Mashable where they offer 13 lessons in B2B Social Media Marketing.
