HTC EVO 4G: Friendstream collates Twitter, Facebook and Flickr updates

Yesterday was the first day of CTIA 2010 and we were rewarded with a number of smartphone launches, such as the HTV EVO 4G, which will use the Sprint WiMax network. HTC gave us all the specs that we need to compare it with other handsets, the two main features of focus is its Android OS 2.1, enhanced custom Sense user interface and Friend Stream.

Mashable explains that this feature allows you to view several home screens at once, which are displayed in a grid. Friend Steam is a smart feature, as it takes elements from your social media accounts, such as stored contacts and then display them all in one place – such as Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.

This is certainly a nice and more importantly easy way to view your contacts.

Maybe you will be looking at some of the handsets other features, such as the 8-megapixel camera and 1.3-megapixe front facing camera. One of the best features of this phone has to be its longer battery life over the Google Nexus One; this is thanks to its declocked Snapdragon processor.

Please let us know if Friend Stream will persuade you to purchase the new HTV EVO 4G.
