Steve Jobs: “No” Apple iPad support for Picasa

Did you know that you can ask questions direct to Steve Jobs of Apple by emailing him at SJobs [at] apple.com? Well anybody can, and somebody asked a question about the iPad, and whether it would support Google’s Picasa photo sharing service.

The questioner first said the iPad photo app looked incredible and then went on to ask, “Are there any plans to support Picasa’s faces and albums in iTunes, so I can take full advantage of the Photos application?” The individual concerned also asked that if the answer was no, could Apple look into supporting the Picasa library concept.

The to-the-point answer from Steve Jobs simply said, “No, but iPhoto on the Mac has much better Faces and Places features”. So the iPad won’t be supporting Picasa or face recognition although Jobs answer indicates that he feels iPhoto performs better anyway.

We suspect you have to be very lucky to get a personal answer from Steve Jobs but this one was authentic. For more on this story go to mashable.com. Maybe you have some questions of your own you would like to ask Steve Jobs?
