Macy’s and Sears Use Social Media For Prom 2010

Recently both Macy’s and Sears have launched online social media marketing strategies to attempt to land more custom for this year’s proms, Macy’s have set up a Facebook fan page, and Sears have a dedicated microsite aiming to hekp deliver ‘the ultimate prom experience’.

Currently Macy’s Facebook page has almost 400,000 fans, here you can see polls, quizzes, tips and trends, not only this but there is also a $1,000 sweepstake, to become a fan check out this link.

The Sears microsite includes pretty much everything someone needs for this year’s prom, if you check out this link you can see hair and makeup tips, prom dresses, the top 10 trends a quiz and a checklist.
