Apple iWork: Social Networking Support Added

The Apple iWork.com public beta has now had new social networking and iPhone features added. People using social networking services will now be able to communicate links to their documents whilst users with iPhones and iPod touch will have access to an upgraded interface for looking at documents on the move.

The iWork.com innovative sharing feature will allow consumers to make public links to documents so they are capable of being shared via social networks, email or Web sites. Users with the link can look at the connected file in their Web browser. It will also enable users to see how many people have viewed their documents.

Meanwhile the new iPhone and iPod touch interface has enhanced touch-based scrolling with document searching. Document download support for the iPad is also incorporated so that in the iPad versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynotes consumers will be able to edit files.

iWork.com is presently in a public beta test phase and it is Appleā€™s Web-based collaboration service. For full story go to macobserver.com. What do you think of the new features added to iWork.com and will you be using them?
